Miss Indonesia was founded in 2005 by Mrs. Liliana Tanoesoedibjo, and has been broadcast exclusively on RCTI since its inception. Over the years, it has become one of the nation’s most respected platforms for showcasing Indonesian women of substance, character, and purpose.
More than just a beauty pageant, Miss Indonesia is a platform for character development and personal growth. Through this journey, each contestant is encouraged to explore her best qualities, hone her talents, and channel her abilities into making a meaningful, impactful, and positive contribution to society, the nation, and the world.
The Miss Indonesia program is built on four key pillars of assessment, represented by the acronym M-I-S-S:

Visionary Founder of Miss Indonesia :
Liliana Tanoesoedibjo is a respected Indonesian leader in the fields of media, fashion, and women’s empowerment. She is the Founder and Chairwoman of the Miss Indonesia Organization, and the driving force behind the establishment of the Miss Indonesia pageant, which debuted in 2005.
Under her leadership, Miss Indonesia has grown into a national platform that empowers young women to discover their purpose, develop their potential, and serve society with compassion and excellence. The pageant is rooted in strong values — emphasizing intelligence, integrity, cultural awareness, and social responsibility beyond outer beauty.
Through her ongoing mentorship, Liliana continues to shape a new generation of Indonesian women leaders, ready to represent the nation with pride, poise, and purpose on the global stage.
